The wellbeing and safety of all students is the highest priority for Our Lady of Good Counsel School. Our Lady of Good Counsel School is committed to child safety and leading and supporting a child safe culture for all our schools, care centres and communities. We encourage and support every member of our school communities to make good decisions that always keep the best interests of the child or young person first.
Our lady of Good counsel school utilises The Catholic Education Western Australia Child Safe Framework which is based on the latest research in child safety for institutions, is in support of best practice, and is consistent with the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse recommendations.

The Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum (KS:CPC)
Our Lady of Good Counsel school uses the Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum (KS:CPC) is a world class, evidence-based child safety curriculum that teaches children and young people to recognise abuse, tell a trusted adult, understand what is appropriate and inappropriate touching and ways of keeping themselves safe. The KS:CPC is delivered to students by educators that have completed a comprehensive training course.
The curriculum is based on two main themes:
- We all have the right to be safe
- We can help ourselves to be safe by talking to people we trust.
The themes are presented through four Focus Areas:
- The right to be safe
- Relationships
- Recognising and reporting abuse
- Protective strategies

Locavora is the online canteen where lunches can be ordered every Thursday and Friday. You must order by 8.30am on the day the lunch order is required.

OLGC uniforms are now available for purchase online via Perm-A-Pleat Schoolwear, with the choice of collecting your order from the school reception or having it delivered to your preferred address for a flat rate of $10 incl GST.

At checkout you can select to have your order delivered to your home address for a delivery charge of $10.00 incl GST.
Orders are delivered overnight in Metro areas and 2 days to country areas.
Delivery Option 2
Delivered to School Admin – no cost
At checkout you can select to have your order delivered to the school administration for collection for no additional delivery charge.
Orders placed between Monday to Friday are dispatched the following Monday and delivered to the school reception overnight in Metro areas.
Orders will be received by the school on a Tuesday and sent home via classrooms.
Exchange Policy
If you accidentally order the wrong size, you can send the product/s back with the Exchange Product Form to Perm-A-Pleat Schoolwear and we will post to you free of charge your exchange order. Unfortunately we are not able to offer a credit on your purchase. Please carefully review the below terms and conditions for Product Exchange.
- Authority to exchange the product/s is given by Perm-A-Pleat Schoolwear. Items received without a Product Exchange Form will not be accepted.
- The item is to be returned to Perm-A-Pleat Schoolwear within 14 days of the receipt of the goods (at purchaser’s expense).
- The product/s must be in the same condition as at the time of purchase. Tags and labelling must be attached to the product and in the same condition it was purchased in (not worn, unwashed, in its original packaging and in new, saleable condition). Products that are not in a saleable condition will not be accepted for exchange.
- The product/s are to be returned with the completed form and with proof of purchase.

1:1 Device Programs
One-to-one learning provides every student and teacher access to his or her own device in a wireless environment allowing students to learn at their own pace and ability levels. In the 1:1 Program, students’ access to a technological device and the internet enables them to be self-directed and receive highly personalised instruction.
Students use their personal devices to do research, homework, solve problems critically and creatively, complete team projects, email and academic course work. At the same time, they gain valuable 21st Century skills that will be beneficial throughout their lives and careers.

Please find below acceptable options for absentee notification:
One Day Absences: Fill out absentee form or phone the school on 6242 3400 before 9.15am. If we have not received any notification prior to this time we will contact you. Absences need to be followed up with a written note, email or through the absentee form.
Extended Time Away: If your child is going to be away for any length of time (i.e. family holiday, surgery), a form must be sent to the principal prior to the absence. Please see Extended Leave During Term Time Request
Late : If your child arrives to school after 8.40am, the sign in system, in the school office must be completed by a parent/guardian. Your child will then be given a red card to take to the class teacher, this is to let the teacher know that you have signed your child in.
Early Departure: Should you need to collect your child early from school (i.e. appointment, sickbay call) then the iPad Register must be completed prior to the collection of the child. You will be given a purple card, this is to let the class teacher know that the register has been completed at the school office.
If there are any unresolved absences for your child a letter requesting a reason and signature will be sent home with your child and must be returned the following day. Signed notes and emails are still acceptable forms of notification.

Our Pre-Kindergarten program offers a play-based child-centred setting, where children are able to develop their social, emotional and cognitive skills in a supportive, engaging and warm learning environment.
Students in Pre-Kindergarten can attend either a 1-day or 2-day program. Pre-Kindy is offered on Wednesdays and Fridays.
