Parish Lenten Reconciliation

Tuesday 28 March, 7pm at St Dominic’s (instead of Mass). This is the 2nd Penitential Rite where we come together as a community, hear the Word to be lead in examination of conscience and take the opportunity for personal confession. It is a moving experience to witness fellow Christians humbling themselves by publicly approaching a confessor for forgiveness. As they do, we pray for them, that they will know the fullness of God’s grace and mercy. If you require more time to speak with a priest then integral confession and spiritual guidance is available at the First Rite.

The First Rite of Reconciliation  is available each Saturday after the 9 am Mass on the 1st and 4th Saturdays at St Dominic's and on the 2nd, 3rd and 5th Saturdays at OLGC

St Patrick’s Breakfast

Thank you to all who attended. The raffle alone raised more that $400.

Singing Practice Saturday 1 April in OLGC church at 10.30am. Everyone is welcome to join us as we rehearse for the next few weeks of Lent and Easter.

St Vincent de Paul Society Help

Our local conference still urgently needs volunteers to help the needy in our own community. Can you spare 2 hours a week? We need people to help with home visitation. Full training and support are available. Giving of your own time to help others is very rewarding. As our local conference only has 4 members, we are in dire need of new members to carry out our work of helping those in need in our own community. All enquiries to Barbara 9446 5324

Project Compassion Week 4

Nguyet lives with a severe disability, and has suffered isolation in her native Vietnam as a result. A Caritas-supported program offered her education, creative outlets and much-needed community interaction. Nguyet has learnt to read and write and better manage her physical needs, and her creative gifts have been unlocked. Now she is increasingly engaging with her neighbours, and she and her parents are more confident about her future. Thank you for your generous contributions.
