A reminder that all students from Pre primary to Year 6 have access to Mathletics http://au.mathletics.com/signin/. Mathletics is very engaging with activities targeted to the Australian Mathematics curriculum. It is a great way for children to practice and consolidate concepts they have learnt while also exposing children to concepts and content prior to it being introduced in class.
A reminder that for the safety of students and parents we ask that if using the front entrance to the school you use either the ramp or gate near the church. We ask that parents and students do not walk through the staff car park as there are often cars coming and going.
Congratulations to Mrs Kavanagh and the Year 6 Wellness group on winning the Sneeze Safe competition. They have won $1000, which will be spent on maths resources to be used throughout the school, and a year's worth of Kleenex tissues. The program educates children on personal hygiene and stopping the transmission of germs.
P&F and Board Nominations
Attached to this newsletter are nomination forms for the P&F and School Board. Forms are also available in the front office. Being a member of the P&F and School Board is a great opportunity to be an active member of the OLGC committee. I encourage all parents to nominate. If you have any questions you are more than welcome to contact me.
This year's talent show will take place on Wednesday 24th November at 2pm. Students from Years 3-6 are invited to audition for their chance to take part in the show. Please understand that we have many students wanting to perform but only have a limited number of spaces.

There are many students who are wearing hats that are looking a bit tired and worn. In preparation for next year parents may wish to take a look at their child's hat and purchase a new one.
Second Hand uniform Shop
As of 2017 the second hand uniform shop will no longer be run by the P&F. It will be combined with the current uniform shop run by Terri Benedetti. The uniform shop will only be taking uniform donations. Once a year the P&F will run a uniform Swapmeet where parents will be able to sell or swap uniforms.
