The Enrichment Programme at Our Lady of Good Counsel School includes a variety of activities.


Mathematics Enrichment

Students in Year 1 to 3 are supported with enrichment activities in the classroom once a week. Students in Year 5 and 6 are involved in the Interschool Have Sum Fun Face to Face Competition, Mathematics Olympiad Papers and the Australian Mathematics Trust Competition. 


Tim Winton Award for Young Writers

Students in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 write stories for the City of Subiaco, Tim Winton Award for Young Writers. This is an opportunity for the students to write a creative narrative story. Students are entered in the International Competitions and Assessments for Schools-ICAS English competition.



Year 6 students compete in the Dance Section of the SciTech RoboCup held a Curtin University. Students create a story to be told through dance, mix their sound track using the Garage Band Application and programme the Lego EV3 Mindstorms Robots to move in time to their dance track for the competition.

Tournament of Minds – TOM

Tournament of Minds or TOM, is an opportunity for students to work as a team on a project preparing a ten-minute creative dramatic solution to a challenge. There are four challenge areas, Language Literature, Social Sciences, Science Technology and Maths Engineering.
